Gas, stomach ache, nausea… What could it be?
I get this every couple of months and to this day, I still cannot find out what it is.
Well, last night I startedvnot feeling well, almost like I was going to vomit. Then my stomach started gurgling and I felt like I had a lot of gas but it just wouldn’t come out. Then I had to go to the bathroom and a lot of gas came out as well as diarrhea. Then I had to run to the bathroom again shortly after, and then one more time and my stomach started to feel not as nauseous. So then I went to bed and woke up sweating but I didn’t have a fever (5 in the morning) I then woke up at 7 and had a loose stool again. Then I ate oatmeal and a banana. Now my stomach is a lot better but still feels odd. What could it be? This happens every several months and I’m always scared it’s going to happen while I’m somewhere like school.

Talk to your doctor. You may have a food allergy; your doctor can send you to someone who can test for it. Meanwhile, keep a record of what you eat before one of these episodes (just write some notes down when you start feeling funny.)

There are some simple remedies you could try when you start not feeling well. Peppermint tea is great for gas. Just consider it medicine and choke a cup down. Candied ginger, ginger tea, or ginger ale is good for nausea. Coke syrup is great for settling your stomach. You can buy it in bottles from the drug store or just drink the soda.

I’ve had a stomach ache for two days, i dont understand why?
Since yesterday i’ve had a stomach ache. Not causing extreme pain, but it’s enough to hurt.
I don’t have any other symptoms. I don’t feel sick other than that. No nausea or anything. I don’t have diarrhea or constipation.. anything like that. I don’t have my period or even close to it. I’m 17.

The only symptom is a sore stomach. Any idea of possible causes for this?

There is a weird stomach ache going around.

My little 9 year old G-son stayed home from school yesterday with it. No other symptoms. Today, he went to school but called this afternoon with the stomach ache wanting to come home. He has had headaches, but he gets those anyway.

His hurt above his belly button.

A lady at school said her daughter had had the same thing.

Stomach ache, nausea…is it the stomach flu?

Stomach ache, nausea…is it the stomach flu?
Last Wednesday morning I vomited before work, I didn’t vomit alot, just once, maybe only 10-15 secs, took some deep breaths, drank some baking soda water, and felt find through work. Got home and suddenly got the worst stomach ache and nausea. Felt like I had to vomit all the time, but at the time I was trying hard not to throw up, so I didn’t, just that once Wednesday morning. Had a really bad stomach ache and nausea Wed & Thur, and have had a more mild stomach ache and occasional nausea/dry heaving since. No fever (96.5-98.5 temp) , no diarrhea, not much of an appetite, just eating crackers, drinking 7up and water, occasionally drinking baking soda mixed with water. I don’t feel nearly as bad as I did earlier, but I still don’t feel good. Does this sound like the stomach flu? I’ve read it can last between 1-10 days, so I’m hoping thats what I have and it’ll be over soon, since I’m on about day 5 now. Should I try eating more, or will eating just make it worse?
- I haven’t gone to see a doctor yet, last year I did they told me it was something like influenza, and gave me some aspirin with codeine to help with the insomnia, and cost me $ 175. I’m all for getting better, I just can’t afford to spend that much money if it’s going to go away on its own in a few days….

I have a bad stomach, so I get things like this a lot. Try eating simple foods that won’t upset your stomach too much such as dry toast, hard pretzels, and things with low acidity, and only drink things such as water, Sprite, and vernor’s. Hope I helped a little bit!

Answer by Simple Minded
You may have food poisoning. Go to the doctor or the pharmacy and get some charcoal pills to stop the diarrhoea. Ask the pharmacist what can stop your stomach pain.

Answer by Venetian Glass
You might have food poisoning, in that case only time will cure. If you can get to a 24hour store get a very cold ginger ale and drink slowly. You can also try Lipton tea, or ginger tea. If you want to get fancy you can chew some papaya enzyme pills

Answer by A M
Try not to eat anything with too much flavor..eat some bland food in case your stomach decides to do acrobatics. You could have a pH imbalance in your digestive track and eating neutral foods aka bland foods could ease your stomach. OR worst case, could be a parasite or virus. Get it checked out if you’re not feeling well tomorrow.

Answer by rajhas
Drink pomegranate juice….will surely help…..eat bland food….don’t eat oily stuff….

Diarrhea can help clear up your skin and body from toxins. It is a natural process that should be done naturally that occurs to rid the body of toxins, but you don’t want it to last forever. The tips in this article will help rid Diarrhea quickly and cost effectively.
TAKE TIME RELEASED VITAMIN C to add back into the body and help continue to clean the system from what has caused the Diarrhea. This is a great way to also it this germ killing vitamin back to the system since it is being depleted drastically while the body is going through this toxin ridding process.
COOK AND EAT BROWN RICE. A small plate of especially organic brown rice periodically through the day will fix the symptoms in hours. If you find it difficult to each found and stay still long enough to do so, eat tablespoons every moment you get a chance.
DRINK PLENTY WATER. Do not drink it while eating the rice however for this will defeat the purpose of the brown rice working on your system to bring it back to its’ natural state.

fever neckache and head ache for 7 days straight please help me!?

fever neckache and head ache for 7 days straight please help me!?
I have been plagued with terrible neck pain and head pain accompanied with fever for 7 days now. I have gone to the doctor and he mentioned possible viral meningitis. He did blood tests and nothing came up abnormal. My only symptoms are the high fever and head ache neck ache. However I noticed today that I now have mosquitoe bite-like patches of rash on my legs, chest and arms. They itch very heavily.
I found a “cocktail” (if you will) that helps me to function normally during the day. 1200 mg of ibuprofen (2 600 mg pills) along with two dayquil capsules, I know this definitely not recommended but it is the only amount that seems to keep me feeling okay enough all day to function. The medicine wears off after about 10 hours or so and the fever skyrockets ad the head ache and neckpain come back with a vengeance. I do not have diarrhea, sore throat, nausea/vomiting, stuffy nose or cough. However when the headache comes back I see spots like someone is flashing a lightbulb at my eyes and it feels like someone is slamming doors in my head.

I also have to tell you that about 10 years ago when I came back from mexico I had almost the same symptoms for about a month and a half. I was at the doctor twice a week. They checked for everything from Malaria to AIDS. At one point they thought I was developing Leukemia. But then all at once the symptoms went away. I was only 17 so fortunatey I didnt have a job that would fire me or bills to pay. Unfortunately now time lost is money lost. I have not been able to go into work fearfl that I am contagous. PLease help! Just in case you were wondering I have not been out of the country however I went camping at a local lake about a month ago and was in the water quite a bit.
I have Kaiser and their protocall is to call them first(advice nurse) before going into the ER. I figure they are trying to save me 180 bux. I do have an appt with my primary care physician tomorrow evening (when the symptoms are the worst) Thank You everyone for you rresponses Ill keep updated. i wanted to get some more ideas so im loaded with questions for the doc tomorrow, definitely not looking for a diagnosis just some reassurance

Answer by MB
If I were you, I would go to the emergency room.

Answer by TMFK
Hmm, I had basically the same symptoms about 5 years ago and it was viral meningitis ; arthropod borne, (from mosquito bites). They had to do a spinal tap to diagnosis my case.

Aside from that, have you ever had mono? Though most people have been infected with EBV, (not always causing mono), EBV and related viruses may cause recurring viral meningitis…

Are you jaundice at all?

But seriously, your case sounds exactly like my case. My doc admitted me to the hospital, (which was easy because her practice had a hall that connected), just too make sure it wasn’t worse…

Answer by Melissa
Maybe enciphilitis? Yup- go to the er, don’t risk it tryin to diagnose yourself online!

How common is it to have a stomach ache AND a fever?
I thought that most GI-affecting bugs usually don’t cause a fever. Am I wrong?

What might I have and what should I do about it? Stomach ache and nausea, for 48 hours, but no vomiting or diarrhea as of yet. Low-to-moderate fever for 18 hours, ranging about 1 to 2 degree Fahrenheit above my normal temp.

Answer by Allie
you just got a little bug. i would recommend that you try to sleep it off.

randomly getting nausea, stomach ache, diarrhea?
For the past few days I have been getting nausea, weakness and diarrhea. I’ll be fine for a while but then it will just come on. There are a few things that I think can be the cause:

-I’ve been drinking alot of green and white tea lately. Could this potentially give one diarrhea which would then result in nausea and stomach ache as well?
-i currently take lexapro as well as an antibiotic for acne. maybe its a result of the meds? however I’ve been on the meds for some times now and these symptoms have only been in the last few days…
-could I maybe have a stomach virus or flu of sorts?

does anyone think these symptoms could be any of the above or maybe something else? Thanks for your help!

Answer by Donna
Maybe Swine Flu.

I hope this helps

For 2 days, diarrhea, vomiting, short of breath, occassional stomach ache?
Two days ago, I started having nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and stomach pain. Now I’m getting short of breath off and on without doing anything. If I do little things like rearranging sofa pillows or or wiping the table, I get short of breath. Don’t have palpitations.

Answer by DIXIE
…ok…and??? you haven’t asked a question… but it sounds like you just have the flu or a stomach bug!!!
