stomach cramps, diarrhea?
over the past two days I have been having cramps, and diarrhea. but the cycle is really weird, like my first poop yesterday was normal, than the second was soft, and then the third was diarrhea. So after I had those three they stopped, as well as the cramps until this morning where I just had a normal poop, but I still have bad cramps, I have gotten this before and have had a stool test that says nothing was wrong and I know I dont have the flu or food poisoning because I dont have a fever, or nausea??? What could this be please help. On top of that it could be related to acid reflux, i have it. So if there is any relief other than pepto bismol please mention it thanks..

Oh and my stool color is normal

Stomach cramps after eating? HELP!?

Stomach cramps after eating? HELP!?
Two mornings ago, I woke up at 10:30 AM with stomach cramping, higher than menstrual cramps. It faded in and out every 10 or 15 minutes and lasted about 5-10 seconds. As the day progressed, the cramping become more frequent, to the point where I had nausea. After having a bowel movement (mild diarrhea) the stomach pain went away, then moved on to a headache, dizziness, and fatigue (which was present during the stomach pains, just more mild). I had a fever that peaked at 102.6 but then brought it down with ice and water. I then ate a small plate of food.

Feeling fine this morning, I proceeded with a normal day. I got more warm than usual when doing certain tasks and ate very little throughout the day until dinner when I ate a normal amount. Suddenly, the same stomach pains started to return, starting off mild and now are about half of the pain they were yesterday.

WHAT’S WRONG WITH ME?

I plan on going to the doctor tomorrow if trouble proceeds.

*I’m a 17 yr old female
*I am not pregnant
I’ve been eating a lot less than usual, at most one meal a day, diarrhea is persistent and gradually getting a little worse.

Answer by Ethan
you could be eating to much or something along those lines

Answer by em kru
From the information you have provided, I believe I can be of some assistance.

Epigastric / Left Hypochondriac Regions:
In this area, identifying the source of the pain can be quite difficult. A painful spleen can often be confused for stomach pains. Perhaps your spleen is enlarged.

The nausea, headaches, dizziness, fever, and “stomach pains” all seem to be related; all are also symptoms of mononucleosis.
I recommend that you:
1) First, go to your family physician. He/she can assess you more.
2) Ask for a blood test to rule out mono.
3) Drink lots of clear liquids. (i.e. water, seven up, ginger ale.)
4) Stay away from a lot of iron. (bacteria follows iron and if your immunity is low, it is easier to acquire another illness on top of the one you already have. If you do have mono, then definitely stay away from iron. When you have mono, your spleen is infected. The spleen produces monocytes; monocytes fight any foreign invaders, infections, and inflammation.)

I hope that helped.
Good luck.

severe abdominal cramps…?

severe abdominal cramps…?
i get random episodes of abdominal cramps… it feels as if everything in my stomach area knots up in a ball then lets go. i am usually doubled over in pain and my stomach makes a strange gargling noise and i can tell that whatever i just ate is moving through my intestines because the pain and the sounds get lower and lower down my stomach area. when this happens i usually break out into a cold sweat and can’t move or talk. these are usually followed by diarrhea and nausea but never vomiting, only the feeling to. after a while the pain subsides and i’m good as new. the episodes last about 30-45 minutes.
there doesn’t seem to be any patterns to when these happens. it doesn’t matter what i eat or drink. these episodes are also happening more frequently. i haven’t seen a doctor yet, but i plan to very soon… i was just wondering if anybody might have an idea of what’s up.
i’ve already researched my symptoms on the internet but can’t seem to find anything that includes everything..

by stomach , are u referring to the area just under your ribs, or down lower, the abdomen?
if its upper, its indigestion, obviously your aren’t precessing very well, if its lower, it could be chronic appendix..in either case see a doctor asap and get it resolved.

I get these very intense cramps 2 or 3 times/year, just before my period (where I usually have little cramping?

I get these very intense cramps 2 or 3 times/year, just before my period (where I usually have little cramping?
And it actually feels like menstrual cramps, except it’s so painful, it makes me cry and scream of pain while it lasts. It only happens in the summer, and seems to always happen a few days after I go at the beach (I don’t know if there is any correlation with summer/beach, but it has been happening for almost 10 years now and it always happens during the summer, a few days after going to the beach)
I wake up with intense cramping, like menstrual cramps but so much worse. I feel like I have to go to the bathroom incessantly, though I have no need for it. I sometime have diarrhea. I have strong nausea/vomiting. I get really really hot and get cold sweat and I’m shaking a lot. I get really dizzy and feel like passing out. I can’t get comfortable in any position.
But all that is usually a short, intense period that will last 30-45 minutes, then I sleep and feel better when I wake up.
I once went to the emergency room for it, but like I said, it lasts 30-45 min and it’s over, so by the time I was called in to see the doc, I felt so much better and left.
It happened htis morning and I was home alone, I was going to call the paramedics, but again, I felt better by then. It’s always really embarrassing because i get so hot I have to take all my clothes off, and then I usually can’t get up again to get the phone.
Do you have any idea what could be causing this? Has anything like that ever happened to you?

Answer by ♥Taran*:)
You should see a local, good, caring doctor and tell him your symtems and ask him if you could take some medicine every time before or after your period. im pretty sure other people expirexed it to.
Once i had the same thing, but it lasted for an hour.
I think its just bad cramping. Maybe try Midol?
Hope this helps!

Is it normal for a 19 year old girl to have severe period cramps?

Is it normal for a 19 year old girl to have severe period cramps?
I started when I was 13 and I still have bad cramps…I mean the works. PMS first, then nausea, back/leg/ab pain, vomiting, diarrhea, inability to function at all….heavy periods. I have gained weight because my appetite increases so much during the time of month. I used to weigh 112 and I now weigh 123. Is this normal for my cramps to still be this bad and what should I do?
also, the back/leg/ab pain persists for 3 days…it is the worst on my first day though

Answer by indiesoul@ymail.com
Yeah its normal, some have it worse some dont.

But it seems like its effecting your life..

I dont know if you like the idea, but how about taking birth control? Yaz? This helps with most of those symptons and helps your peroid be lighter and short so you wont have to deal with it so much!

Answer by Jess
you might have an infection.. you should go to your obgyn and get it checked out!

Answer by Jelly Belly

Answer by Tama
A few of my friends go through really bad period cramps, they started using birth control…the pill, to stop those bad symptoms.

Birth control is also a good form of reduce period pain.

Answer by sarasunshine
Yes it is competely normal. My mother (who is 40) still has horribly bad cramps to this day. Personally, I would make an appointment with my Doc or OBGYN if you have one, or maybe even give him/her a call and just see what they have to say. I’m not sure about your leg pain, but I often get reallllllly bad back pain when and before i am on my period. So I usually make an appointment with my chiropractor monthly. LOL

Hope that helped!!! Good Luck!

Answer by boo!
i get really bad cramps and have had fainting spells. my doctor put me on apo-naproxin and that takes away some of the cramps and i’ve been fainting less. either way you should talk to your doctor…the diarrhea isn’t good.

I’m 38 wks and having constant lower back and pelvic cramping, like menstrual cramps. Should I call my doctor?
I don’t want to call the doctor and she think I’m stupid! I’ve been dilated to a 3 for the past couple weeks now andI was up all night with irregular contractions and diarrhea/nausea. But throughout the day, the pain has gotten worse and is constant…it doesn’t really come and go. That’s why I’m not sure if this is real labor?

Answer by Mrs.Russell
it could be! get off the computer and go to the doctor! who cares what she thinks! you could be in labor this very second!

Answer by Christina
YES CALL THE DOCTOR ASAP!!

Answer by shasta
Please get off the computer honey I have gave birth to two kids and you need to go to the the hospital and up to labor and delivery.

Good Luck and Congrats

Answer by megs
You could be in labor, if it is constant pain and you feel pressure it may be a UTI, which then can make you go into labor. Just go in and be checked. You would rather be safe than sorry

YES!!!! I bet you anything it’s time!!! CONGRATULATIONS! Please keep us updated, I want to know what you have!!!

I have debilitating cramps two weeks before my period, during, and days after..whats wrong?
I have had my period for three years now, and currently have an active sex life. I get debilitating cramps in my lower abdomen, lower back, and thighs. I also have head aches, nausea, and diarrhea. When i first started my period three years ago it was light, short, and zero cramps. But within the last year it has turned into long, heavy, and awful cramps…Is this normal?

Answer by Eyes Set To Kill
Yeah, usually your first 2 years of your period are when you feel fine. After that, it’s really painful.
When I first started my period, I didn’t feel anything, but wetness.
And now, four years after I started, I feel like my insides are on fire and I have MASSIVE cramps and nausea.

What could be causing morning stomach cramps?

What could be causing morning stomach cramps?
So some days I wake up and immediately my stomach has a harsh cramping/bruised feeling all around the abdominal area. Also, when I inhale and my stomach expands, the pain gets worse. It only lasts for about an hour after I wake up though and I have no other symptoms following it such as diarrhea, nausea etc. And I’m not pregnant! Does anyone know what it could be? thanks

Answer by Jacqueline
Does it always happen when you sleep in one particular position?
I would suggest cysts, but that wouldn’t go away after an hour. They feel like bruises, but all day long.
If you take a pill/vitamin, that might be doing it.
If you eat breakfast, one specific food might do it (I can’t eat eggs in the morning, but I can any other time of the day. If I eat them in the morning, it causes pain.)
Maybe it’s something you do right before bed?
Could it be air/gas?
I’m not a big “journal writer,” but if this is bothering you a lot and you don’t know exactly what to tell a doctor, maybe you should write down what you do or eat within an hour before bed, and then again when you get up and see if there’s a pattern.
