I have not eaten much in the last 8 days I can’t stand the site or smell of food?
I have some nausea here and there no diarrhea, and no vomiting (some lite ocasional belching)
anyone know what this is
I am a male not female

Answer by LisaC
I can’t tell if you have a virus or you are suffering from an eating disorder. Eating disorders can hit guys as well, in case you were thinking it wasn’t possible. I don’t know if you are nauseous due to a bug you have, or you are turned off with the thought and presence of food around you.

Please call your doctor to get some help. I hope you are feeling better soon, and please make sure to drink fluids so you don’t get dehydrated.

Diarrhea for 5 days straight?

Diarrhea for 5 days straight?
I’ve had diarrhea for 5 days straight. Last Thursday night I was trying to go to sleep but I started to have stomach pains and cramps. I got up and went to the bathroom and had bad diarrhea. I started to feel a lot of nausea and vomited too. After about half and hour after I vomited, I was able to go back to bed. The next day I woke up feeling a little better and I was fine by Saturday. However, last night I went out to eat and when I came home I felt like I needed to use the bathroom. I tried to go but nothing would happen. This morning I woke up and I had stomach pains and diarrhea again. I didn’t have any nausea but I still had stomach cramps. What should I do?

Answer by John Doe
Get off the computer. Go to a hospital or call an ambulance. You are dying. Seriously don’t wait any longer your life could be in danger.

Use Pepto Bismol

Answer by Code_Name_Cherry
I think that you should wait a couple of more days and see what happens. Sometimes these stomach bugs will randomly strike people and last for a few days. I get that every now and then. But maybe you keep eating something at your house every day that is infected with one of these bacterias. Check all your expiration dates and see what things you have been eating frequently because it could be causing this. If this lasts much longer, go to a doctor and see if they can diagnose you. Hope this helps! Make sure you drink lots of water because you may get dehydrated.

ADDED–Only use Pepto Bismol if you have to, like if you are going somewhere that you can’t get out of going to. Using this will only slow the rate at which the bacteria can leave your body. Your body has diarrhea to flush out the illness, and pepto bismol slows this all down.

Answer by PaperSackBrown
you need to go to the ER and be checked out. If you have had the poops for 5 days then you are dehydrated and you better get off that compute and go see bout yourself.

Here i s an excellent site with some wonderful options for you. It will definitely help you. Have a look. http://nurseus19.notlong.com/AADPiaZ

Answer by Sthomp
diarrhoea is a sign of liver failure – if you have it for more than 3 days you need to go to the doctor -as you’ve had it for 5 go to hospital and get checked out.

On and off nausea for a couple days?

On and off nausea for a couple days?
3 weeks ago I had an episode of diarrhea that was followed 5 hours later by sudden onset of nausea/bloating/fullness the whole ten yards with no vomiting. It persisted for several days and the doctor said it was food poisoning. Gradually each day I got better. Last week I felt fine for the most part

3 days ago I woke up with minor nausea, no bloating/fullness/diarrhea- diff. from last time. It persisted even after I ate, but when I stopped thinking about it it went away. As I walked to class I got nauseous but while sitting down in class nothing really. It was gone by the time classes were over. The next day I woke up with the same feeling and it pretty much went away, but in the evening it came back a bit. Yesterday same deal, except it persisted most of the day.

Today I noticed that if I sip even just a tiny bit of ginger ale the nausea goes completely away. Could it just be anxiety or thick mucus post nasal drip? No pain or discomfort. I’m at a loss

Answer by sam.harasemchuk
Maybe your pregnent!
i hope its a girl!

Answer by K
Tis the season. I have had bad sinuses ever since the weather turned. Sometimes this causes me to be dizzy or nauseous.
Not to mention the fact that as classes (I guess I am assuming you’re in college) are wrapping up for the semester anxiety is everywhere.

So I sympathize.

Answer by Night :
Happens to me whenever I have a cold, and the mucus drips down my throat and such. It makes me nastily nauseous, but its an on and off nauseousness.

Don’t worry, though. It’s really nothing too bad. Just annoying.

What could cause 6 days of vomiting in our 9 year old daughter?

What could cause 6 days of vomiting in our 9 year old daughter?
She has been vomiting for 6 days now and can’t keep anything down. She hasn’t had a fever until today but it is low grade. She does not have any diarrhea either.
She has been to the clinic and had fluids administered through an IV. She also had blood work done. Blood tests were normal. Ended up going to the ER later that same day. Again..she had an IV for rehydration and a CT scan done of her abdomen. Tests showed all looks good. Finally diagnosed with gastroenteritis and sent home with suppositories to stop the nausea and vomiting. There are 6 people in our home and she is the ONLY one sick. Typically when one of us gets ill we ALL do. Also..we have never been pukey sick for more than 3 days. Did they miss something? I am terribly concerned. She is usually VERY active and a typical healthy girl. Now all she does is sleep and vomit. Please throw me some ideas or similar cases. Thank you!

Answer by LINDA R
Take her to her doctor ASAP, or back to the ER. I am not a doctor, so I can’t say for sure whether or not they missed something, but it does seem like they missed something. I hope she feels better soon!

Answer by kk3
Go on the Internet and research, research, research on your own. Don’t trust what the doctors tell you… keep taking her to the docs and demand other tests based on what you find on the Internet. It’s not normal to vomit for that long of time and even though all the tests they have taken shows normal…. be vigilant at finding the problem. My brother, a fireman, young and in the best shape of his life thought he had the flu. He went to the ER a few times and they sent him home- told him to keep hydrated. He was vomiting and had diarrhea. He collapsed and died of a bacterial infection that attacked his pancreas. His blood sugar shot up and he went into a coma. Flu symptoms may just be the flu OR, it could be symptoms of something much more dangerous. Doctors are too quick to diagnose and prescribe medications now a days. Please be vigilant about it… you don’t want to be sorry.

Answer by jurdonna
Stop the food and just give her Gatorade and if she can tolerate that then let her nibble on some soda crax. If she doesn’t vomit start her on soft foods and go from there. This absolutely is NOT normal for ANY child. I think yogurt may be beneficial to her intestines….I know it’s good for adults, but I sure wouldn’t give it to her unless I checked with a dr. first. I’ll be praying for her.

I have debilitating cramps two weeks before my period, during, and days after..whats wrong?
I have had my period for three years now, and currently have an active sex life. I get debilitating cramps in my lower abdomen, lower back, and thighs. I also have head aches, nausea, and diarrhea. When i first started my period three years ago it was light, short, and zero cramps. But within the last year it has turned into long, heavy, and awful cramps…Is this normal?

Answer by Eyes Set To Kill
Yeah, usually your first 2 years of your period are when you feel fine. After that, it’s really painful.
When I first started my period, I didn’t feel anything, but wetness.
And now, four years after I started, I feel like my insides are on fire and I have MASSIVE cramps and nausea.

diarrhea with green stool lasting for five days. any advice?

diarrhea with green stool lasting for five days. any advice?
a few weeks ago, i had a stomach virus with stomach discomfort, mild nausea but no vomiting, bloating, loss of appetite, and initially diarrhea. at the time, my stool was varying shades of brown and tan. after refraining from eating for a couple days, taking Kaopectate, and then going on a BRAT diet, my symptoms went away and my bowel movements returned to normal.

but earlier this week, i awoke to experience diarrhea once again, this time with green stool. first it was a light green, which got darker over time. i took more Kaopectate and refrained from eating once again, though now i wasn’t experiencing appetite loss like i had previously. i was famished and began eating again once my diarrhea and stomach irritation began to subside. but now my diarrhea has returned and my stool is still a fairly dark shade of green. i haven’t experienced bloody stools, but i think my anus is beginning to bleed from having to wipe so much as evidenced from a ring of pink coloration on the toilet paper, and my anus is feeling very sore and chaffed. my stools don’t seem to be smelling either, i detected no smell from the green stool, only the scented aroma of the toilet paper upon examination.

i saw two different doctors when i first got sick. i even had a blood test taken, liver and kidney function was normal. should i see the doctor again? is it just an unfortunate and untimely bout of food poisoning or something more serious?

Answer by Manz
Dude… please see the doctor again…

My stomach hurts days after drinking?

My stomach hurts days after drinking?
I got relatively drunk Saturday night (4 days ago). I drank mostly margaritas (tequila) and beer. I woke up that night with diarrhea, rapid heartbeat, and nausea. The next day it was a little better, but still diarrhea and nausea. I’ve had these same symptoms for the past few days and it is getting slightly better each day, but definitely still going on. My stomach hurts the worst after I eat. Is this normal? Any recommendations? Thanks!

Answer by Annonymous Man
this is because your stomach made a lot of stomach acid in response to the alcohol, this burned your stomach linen when it wasn’t able to be digested giving you the symptoms. it’ll go away soon

Answer by Debbie
You can get pancreatitis from drinking too much. When you aggravate the pancreas you need to rest it by not eating or drinking anything. You might want to google this condition because it sounds exactly like a mild case. My daughter suffers from pancreatitis and has been hospitalized 7 times from it although her case is due to genetic mutations. Believe me when I say that you should be careful because if it gets worse you could be hospitalized for a week from it. It is a horrible thing to go through. Best of luck to you.

drink milk and eat some bland food like macaroni and cheese.

Bad nausea for several days – help?
I’ve been very nauseous for three days now but I haven’t vomited or had diarrhea. The first night was awful – I had muscle aches and a headache. I thought it was food poisoning but apparently a virus is going around. I feel like three days is a very long time to feel like this and I don’t know what to do. My school’s health center is closed for the weekend and I’m not near home so there’s no doctor I can go to. I’ve spent the past few days in bed and I’ve been eating plain crackers, fruit, and drinking lots of water. Does anyone have any suggestions to make me feel better or have any idea of what is wrong with me? Thank you!

Also, this isn’t related to my period, I’m not pregnant, and I’m not on any medication or birth control.

Answer by hannah
keep up the water and it’ll flush out the virus if it is what you have,

ginger helps with nausea, whether its root, beer or biscuit form it helps.

also you can get nausea tablets from the store.

stick to plain foods, nothing to heavy, no dairy products.

i think thats all you can do

Sick for 7 days and missed period but on the pill?

Sick for 7 days and missed period but on the pill?
I’ve been sick for 7 days with headaches, diarrhea, dizziness, tiredness, major nausea, and mood swings. I couldn’t even look at certain foods without feeling like throwing up. I’m irregular so it’s hard to say when exactly my period comes. It will usually come a few days before I start the brown pills (the last 4 in the pill pack) and today was my last day on that pack. Still no period or any signs. I never missed a pill and take it the same time everyday. I took a pregnancy test today(clear blue) it was negative. Could I be pregnant still? Idk what I could be sick with I never miss any periods?

Answer by nunu215
You could be pregnant(might need to go to your doctor) or you could have sum sort of stomach virus keep taking your pills though
