101 deg Fever, dizziness, pressure in head?
Okay, so today I have been feeling bad. This morning, i went to the restroom and had diarrhea and i threw up. ive had diarrhea for the rest of the day, but nothing much is coming out. it hasnt been severe though. what i threw up was bile and bits of something, but mostly liquid.

so i went to sleep at around 2pm because i just kept feeling really nauseous while i was standing around, and i felt like id throw up again and i had a pressure type headache in the top of my head and in my forehead. at one point, while putting the star on our Christmas tree, i stood up and nearly fainted. it got black and i felt my head falling back but i didnt fall, and when my vision cleared, my head and body felt hot and tingly. i also felt my face which was very hot which i thought was probably fever. i also felt very achy in my neck and back and shoulders

so i went to sleep at 2pm and slept till about 7:40pm or so. i dont feel so nauseous now, but i my head feels really heavy and dizzy and i have pressure headache in my forehead and top of head. my face feels less hot, and i used our digital thermometer and had a fever of 101degF. i checked it twice to be sure and it was 101 both times. my face felt less hot, so im assuming that when i first went to sleep, i had a fever of higher than 101.

does anyone know what this is? i havent eaten anything yet and i feel not hungry. ive drank some ice water, which helps to settle my stomach.

other things, im on my period, but i dont think it has much to do with it because ive had it for years and never had these symptoms before during it, except i think the sore lower back is because of my period but nothing else. ive felt like this before when i was sick though, but i dont think its stomach flu either because i had that before and i was vomiting every couple of minutes with severe diarrhea. and i only threw up once today and felt nausea

anyway, i still feel dizzy, but well enough to at least write this out. anyone know what this could be? i think the diarrhea might have been aggravated by some prune juice i drank 2 days ago, but i dont think thats the sole cause since i threw up too

please help if you can

Thank you, and I appreciate all your answers.
May GOD’S Favor and Blessings be upon you and your family and home.

I had this with terrible vertigo like the room spinning around when I would lie down. I threw up only once, but I had fluid in my head and ears. It was like sinus, but evidently it is a virus. I went to an ear, nose, and throat doctor who washed out my sinuses and gave me Pen V which did not cure it. My personal physician gave me another antibiotic for it. I have finished them. The dizziness is gone, but I still have a dry mouth and lips. I also had an earache. It is either a flu or some virus.

I hope yours goes away sooner than mine because I have been sick since Thanksgiving. God bless you and your family also. Be well.

Answer by Tiffsickle
Most likely it is the flu or mono.
To treat this, you may need to see a doctor, but until then, drink lots of fluids, rest, and take fever reducing medications.

Other possibilities include:
-Acute sinusitis (infection of sinuses cause inflammation)
-Pneumonia
-Migraines
-Aseptic meningitis (If you suspect this, go to the doctor, NOW. This can be fatal.)

My best advice: go to the doctor. You need treatment, these symptoms are serious.

Best of luck, and Merry Christmas!

flu……symptoms…….without the aches?
fluids and rest for you………

Answer by Dr. TAP M.D.
Okay their are a couple things this sounds like to me.

1) A sinus infection that is causing pressure on your inner ear drum and equilibrium. ( that controls balance) Simple antibiotics will cure this. and you should be on your way to your holiday festivities! :)
2) The stomach flu. Just because you had it bad one year doesn’t mean you won’t have it a little bit less than the year (s) previous. This is just one you will have to let it run it’s course. **NOTE** you can call your doctors office and ask them to call you in a prescription for a medication call Zofran “zoh-fran” <-- how you pronounce it. this is an anti nausea medication that works wonders. it may constipate you though! **END NOTE**
3) Migraine, This seems like a bad one if it is. You can try Excedrin Migraine plus 600MG of Advil/ibuprofen. that's usually 3 tablets. **NOTE** you can take both of those as long as you don't have a liver or kidney disease that you know about **END NOTE** If it doesn't get better (with help of these meds) go to the ER and say you want a "cocktail" of Toradol (tore-doll) it is like advil on crack. also ask for Compazine it is a anti nausea medication that does a really good job. next ask for benadryl it is like a suppresent that calms you down. These medication are a triple combo pack. They will be injected through a IV and the saline fluids they give you will be good for you since you've been having the runs plus vomiting.
now if you don't think its a migraine then ignore that.
If and when your stomach starts to feel better and you can handle solid foods start the BRAT diet.
Bananas, rice, apple sauce and toast. They are light on your stomach also keep drinking the fluids like gatorade.

If you feel worse call your doctor. or go to the ER.

I wish you the best of luck this holiday season and hope this helped!

What’s wrong with me? Only two symptoms – Fever of 100-ish, and dizziness?
I’m not feeling nausea, no diarrhea, no nasal congestion, headaches, nothing else. My husband and I just can’t figure it out. I’m pretty dizzy, and I have a fever around 100 or so. Mild, but should I be worried it’s going to get worse? I’ve never had this happen before…

Answer by Miss Easly
Go to the doctor! You may find out possibilities of what it is on here but you couldn’t know for sure. It could be something pretty bad… Dizziness can be a sign of many different things. Please, if you think it’s necessary, go.
Hope you feel better soon!(:

dizziness, sweats, high temperature lasting 5-10 minutes?
i came down with a stomach flu this morning. started with vomiting then nausea, then diarrhea. vomit has mostly consisted of bile & amino acids. i haven’t eaten anything all day for fear of vomiting it up. i have been drinking lots of water. two times so far, i have become very hot, drenched with sweat, dizziness impairing ability to walk/move. vision blurry. is this normal with a stomach virus?

Answer by secret_smile29
sounds just like flu but if it gets worse get help…phone the doc for advice anyway!!! you will be feeling dizzy etc because you have no food in you…best to keep it that way so the bug has nothing to work on!!! take small sips of water (tiny bit of salt in it will rehydrate you) and have a tepid bath and go to bed and stay there!!!

Answer by lainey lain
It’s possible, but If you are running a fever 101degrees or above that does not come and stay down with a fever reducer and the vomiting persists you should seek medical attention. In the interim drink plenty of fluids especially water, then try clear fluids gradually. (fluids that you can see through) i/e broth, tea etc…..

Answer by meme
yes, it can make you have all of those symptoms….maybe this can help (we do the banana thing and it works!)
Instructions

* STEP 1: Drink a mixture of 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda stirred well and dissolved in a 1/2 glass of water to relieve the rumble of acid indigestion or heartburn. Drink the mixture quickly and repeat in two hours, if needed. Adults under 60 can safely do this up to seven times in one 24-hour period.
* STEP 2: Eat a banana. Bananas soothe the stomach and counteract the acids that cause upset stomach. They are also easily digested and can help to ease diarrhea.
* STEP 3: Drink strong ginger ale or tea, or chew on a piece of candied ginger to relieve nausea. In China, ginger has been used to treat upset stomach for 2,000 years.
* STEP 4: Drink peppermint tea. Peppermint calms the muscles of the stomach.
* STEP 5: Relax. Take a warm bath, lie down and listen to music, curl up with a good book. Let go of stress in a way that works for you.
* STEP 6: Avoid foods and drinks that may cause upset stomach or gas. Some of these are coffee, onions, cauliflower, chocolate, fried foods and baked bean
hope it helps you.

Try eating chicken soup and drink alot of fluids, that should help with the dizzyness. you don’t want to get dehydrated. maybe someone can go to the store for you for some medicine, and if you don’t feel good in a couple of days I suggest you call your doctor, Hope that you feel well soon.

Stomach Pains, Diarrhea, Dizziness, Acid Reflex/Heartburn, Nausea, or about Four Weeks!?
for four weeks I have felt like this.
I see doctor in three days.
I have an Anxiety Disorder…Could this be my nerves acting up?

I keep thinking i cant be a virus..I mean FOUR WEEKS and plus my Pregnant sister isn’t sick and she lives with me…her immune system is low because of the baby you would have thought she would have had it.

My family is thinking either my Nerves, Ulcer, or IBS…

Answer by Dr. ﻉ√٥ﺎ
This sounds like it is completely nerves. They can do all of this to you.
Are you on any anti-anxiety medication? If not then you should go see a psychiatrist and tell them how you are feeling. When i had very bad anxiety i would get the diarrhea, the dizziness, and most of your symptoms. IBS doesn’t cause dizziness and an Ulcer causes black stool and extreme pain in the upper abdomen.
I suggest you see a psychiatrist.

why do people think your immune system is low when you are pregnant, this is rubbish

Answer by kss
Could be due to the anxiety disorder, anxiety can cause IBS and many other GI (gastrointestinal) problems. Have you started any new meds for anxiety and/or depression in the last few months? Some meds for these disorders can also cause the above symptoms.

bad anxiety can cause ulcers Ive been there done that

I have been sick for over 2 weeks now with dizziness, nausea, and some diarrhea.?

I have been sick for over 2 weeks now with dizziness, nausea, and some diarrhea.?
I have been to the doctors 3 times now and the first time I was dehydrated, the second time I had a virus and the third time he said that it was my equilibrium because I had liquid in my ear which is causing my dizziness and nausea. I will have a few good days where I feel normal and then one or two bad days where I can barely eat, drive, do anything. I am wondering if anybody else has had these symptoms or if my virus could still be in my body.
the doctor prescribed me an allergy pill for my ear and a nausea pill to take when I feel nauseous but that was it, he told me to wait out the virus but said it would only take a week.
I also have no fever and no aches or pains.

Answer by Cam C
Well actually the virus is still in your body, it is just dormant, if you’ve been treated for it, you should definetely get more sleep and believe it or not exercise, take a multi vitamin, drind plenty of water, you will feel a whole lot better.

Answer by Jody
Two weeks after the virus started is too long in most cases. They usually run their course in ten days. But if there’s no fever, it could be that virus still.

Dehydration causes nausea and dizziness too. Sometimes it takes a long time to get re-hydrated, you really have to keep at it..

It’s disturbing that you can barely eat or drive on some days. If it were me I’d go back and get an antibiotic and antiseptic drops for my ears so they don’t get infected. Tell him you can’t afford to keep coming back

What could be wrong with me? Nausea, dizziness, and diarrhea every morning.?

What could be wrong with me? Nausea, dizziness, and diarrhea every morning.?
For roughly two or so months now, I’ve woken up every morning to a cramping in my stomach which leads me to the bathroom around 3 times and to have diarrhea. This whole time I feel dizzy and nauseous, and I sometimes throw up from it. The pain/uncomfortableness lasts for about an hour and I usually smoke MJ to relieve the pain. The feeling usually come back (less severe) probably about an hour after dinner or lunch.
I used to abusive laxatives (maybe for 4-5 pills a week for two months?) as well as poor eating habits (about 500 cal a day) and I induced vomitting for maybe a week or so. This has been a very busy school year for me, and I know I wasn’t treating my body well, but I have stopped all abuse for about two weeks now , and I have been trying to eat a well balanced diet. I really don’t think my problems came from the abuse because I had similar cramping/diarrhea problems beforehand (less severe) and I only did those things for roughly two months.
I did use to take Accutane’s off brand about a year ago.. so maybe problems are from that?
I am 5’6, 140lbs, 20yr old female, with no real severe medical history. My mother does have a thyroid problem, and my dad has high blood pressure (but he’s overweight.)

I’m too nervous to go to the doctor and admit the abuse, as well as my MJ use and drinking since I’m underage and I have make appointments on the military base! Please help! This pain is very disruptive.

We should not hide anything before Doctors and Lawyers and should always say truth before them. Go to a Doctor for check up as soon as possible.

Answer by Douglas B
Somewhere along the way you have tightened up your back muscles and have them putting extra pressure on the nerves going to your stomach while you are sleeping. That’s causing your stomach to release more gastric acid which is burning your stomach lining to cause the pain and diarrhea. Freeing up your back muscles should take care of this problem for you and here’s how to free them up:
Back:
(do from a sitting position)
Place your left hand on your left leg next to your body. Place your right hand over your left shoulder, fingers over the back and the palm in the front and firmly pull down on them and hold. After 30 seconds slowly lower your body forward and to the outside of your left leg, keeping your left arm fairly straight as you do. When you reach your lap remain there for another 10 seconds, release the pressure but rest there for another 30 seconds. Then reverse your hand positions and do your right side.
The dizziness is caused by tight neck muscles. When tight they restrict everything going in and out of your head, including the blood. When there is a reduced blood flow to the brain you will have a lowered oxygen level there as well. You will know when the oxygen level has dropped when you feel very tired. If it drops more you will get dizzy, light headed, and more you pass out. Easy to tighten these up while vomiting. Tight neck muscles also give on a feeling of nausea as well. Freeing up your neck muscles will get rid of this problem and here’s how to free them up:
Neck
Put your hands alongside your head so your thumbs are on the front of the muscle under your ear and your fingers are on the back of the muscle behind your neck. Squeeze your thumb and fingers together and hold. Relax your body. When your fingers and thumb touch, about one minute, slowly lower your head as far as you can, release the pressure but hold your neck lowered for another 30 seconds. For both- for best results relax your body first by taking a deep breath and exhaling then remain this relaxed.

Answer by HANNAH
Please do not listen to the diagnoses of random people on the internet. No matter how good their intentions are they are not doctors! I appreciate that it may be hard for you to explain your drug use to a doctor but the best thing for you is to get an appointment as soon as possible.
P.S. ‘Douglas B’ also suggested the same neck exercises he gave to you to someone who had feinted. I hope this gives you some insight to the people who are answering your question!

Answer by Maria Miller
That doesn’t sound very good but it sounds like it may be Accutane. Have you spoke to your doctor about it? In 2009 Accutane was pulled from the shelves because it caused irritable bowel syndrome and Crohn’s disease – which it sounds like you have. It hasn’t hit the news that hard yet but its all over the internet that they are linked and people have been taking them to court.
You should really look into that, that is the first thing I would have thought and maybe get some immediate help:

What could be wrong with me? Nausea, dizziness, and diarrhea every morning.?

Can risperdone or tegretol start causing nausea and dizziness a year after starting them?

Can risperdone or tegretol start causing nausea and dizziness a year after starting them?
I have been on them both for at least a year, no side effects. I’ve been having dizziness, diarrhea and mild nausea for six weeks, and that started when my lithium got increased, but the psychiatrist decreased it again eight days ago, and I have same diarrhea, worse nausea although the dizziness is mostly gone, so I guess it wasn’t the lithium. So could it be the risperdone or tegretol starting out of the blue to cause side effects?

Answer by Psychethos
I highly doubt it. I’ve never heard of a medication suddenly giving you new side effects after you’ve been on it with no side effects for a year. It could be something to do with the lithium increase (although doubtful since the dosage was brought down again), or it could be something else.

I’m no doctor, though, so I think you should ask one.

What could cause both my mother and me to have nausea, dizziness, chills, and headaches?

What could cause both my mother and me to have nausea, dizziness, chills, and headaches?
It started on New Year’s Eve when I had a terrible migraine. (And no, alcohol was not involved.) I ended up going to bed that night at 9:00 because the room was spinning and I was very nauseous. I had a hard time sleeping because anytime I moved I thought I was going to be sick. And then in the middle of the night, I had (sorry if this is too much info) bad diarrhea. But what was most strange, my mother suffered the EXACT symptoms that night – she in her bedroom, me in mine. So initially I thought carbon monoxide. But that can’t be; we have carbon monoxide detectors in every room, including the basement. And we felt fine all day.

I was fine for a few days until last night, when the SAME thing happened to me. I had migraines, dizziness, (diarrhea), nausea, and the chills. But my mother was fine. But tonight, my mother now has it again but I don’t.

Now, we’re both fine during the day. What’s up??? Now I read that the symptoms are signs of pregnancy. Impossible: my mother’s almost 50 and I’m a 21 year-old male.

I was just wondering if anyone has any idea what the cause could be. Thanks!

Answer by theosharatos
Maybe there is a gas leak in your house or something or else just a bug. I’d go to the doctor.

It sounds as though you both have some type of viral gastro illness. If you are worried you need to see the doctor.

Answer by merillo5
Diarrhea is caused by a virus . Sounds like a stomach virus or flu. Drink Gatorade to replenish the electrolytes you are loosing every time you go to the bathroom so you don’t dehydrate. Try the BRAT diet ( Bananas, Rice ,Apples & Tea) its great for stopping diarrhea naturally without any meds. You might want to stick with drinking only out of 1 personal glass so as not to spread the germs back and forth. Hope you both feel better soon.
