Feeling so ill for 2 days!! :( ?
- Very flushed and clammy (not a very high temperature)

- Mild headaches and pains

- Post-nasal Drip (I’ve had for 3 months) thick green mucus

- Inside of my right nasal passage is completely red/swollen and blocking it

- Pain in my right cheek and above eyebrows sometimes

- Shaky, weak, no appetite for food

- Stomach Upset and nausea

- Mild sore throat

- Sneezing

- Chills

- Tired

- Anxious and feeling run down

Been having sinus problems on and off for nearly 5 months, 3 antibiotics i’ve had, 2 didn’t really work and the last 1 didn’t work, made me feel very ill and severe diarrhea…

Doctor doesn’t know whats going on, I’ve just had a 1 month course given to me of oral decongestants…. tried 1 week and they havent unblocked my right-side of those nose AT ALL. it’s still way to swollen.

IM JUST SO FED UP NOW :( Do I have a sinus infection again?? I just can’t stand taking all these antibiotics they don’t seem to touch me, or is it because im not taking them long enough? Each time i’ve only had a 7 day course…

Sinus problems have been continuing for a month again, but no real illness. Day before yesterday I was so anxious and I cried all day and was too stressed out. The next day I woke up really ill…. guess it proves how run down I was hey?

Whats going on??

xxx
Also, horrible taste in mouth, and earache/pressure.

Answer by sokokl
Some of these symptoms indicate that a sinus infection could be occurring again. However, I would recommend getting back in touch with your doctor to let them know what’s going on.

FOOD POISONING?? A week ago I ate two chicken gizzards & the next morning woke up feeling horrilble?
No diarrhea only soft stool maybe twice a day. Extreme nausea and indigestion. Last night I ate a large bowl of cereal and about three hrs later: sour burps, nausea and vomiting something like stomach acid. I called a nurse and pharmacist and they said unless there was bloody stool, and violent vomiting then it probably wasn’t serious. I know you guys aren’t doctors but I have been through soooo many bad things this year and I am really concerned that I may need to see a doctor ASAP! If you or a friend have ever had these symptoms or food poisoning please respond. THANK YOU
*** I didn’t cook them I purchased them from a local chicken shack…

****Also I have a clear mucous in the stool an it’s dark brown (sorry for being so graphic)

Answer by Gene L
Might not be the chicken gizzard itself that’s causing you to be sick but a food-borne illness from NOT washing the chicken and your hands before cooking.

Unwashed hands are thought to be responsible for one-quarter of food-borne illnesses, including E. coli and salmonella, and are a major means of transmission for SARS, meningitis, hepatitis, and the common cold

You could possibly have Salmonella or E. coli poisoning from handling the raw, unwashed chicken.

Believe me, I hope that’s not the case but, if you continue to be sick or especially if it gets worse, it would be a good idea for a doctor to check you out.

Answer by pennypincher
Have you had any other problems with chicken before? It sounds like a food intolerance.

ive been feeling really sick for the last 3 weeks?
well 3 weeks ago one night i had a real sore throat well i thought that was normal might of been getting a cold and the very next day i had a cough thought that would where off at some point no point getting anything for it then a few days later i had mild nausea which was constantly always there and every time i woke up in the morning id have diarrhea few more days after that started i woke up with very sore thighs muscles and they were real sore for a couple of days but after that the cough and sore throat was gone just the nausea and very weak and worn out the nausea mainly came in the morning and when i ate i had a few pregnantcy test but they were saying i wasnt pregnant i did have my period last month and im due for it again next week….also in the last week ive had real bad headaches everyday and constant thirst i am drinking alot of water but only going toliet once or twice a day what could this mean? also have had a bit of tummy pain sometimes

Answer by musikalmonky
i would suggest getting an appointment with your gn and asking to have a formal pregnancy test done because this all happened to me all three times with my girls. it could just be that you are sick and worn out and the constant drinking could be that you are dehydrated and that is why you are not going to the bathroom as much. in the cold time of year, you have to drink twice as much to stay hydrated than you do in the summer. i would try to talk to your gn and get the test or wait about another week and see what that brings and try an over the counter test again. Some women have low doses of the hormone that is picked up in those tests and i never showed on those till i was 7 to 8 weeks pregnant.

Random vomits for 1 day, feeling like nothing ever happened next day. Is there a concern for disease?
A month ago I got the supposed stomach flew. A few weeks after that I got it again. I thought that was odd considering I get the stomach flew like once every 1-2 years. I got the flew again a week after that. So 3 times being sick :( Now I’m scared I might get it again. I’m thinking it may be my sleep habits lately. I stay up from 3pm to 6am or 7am. 16 hours of being awake. Sometimes I have a 3-5 hour nap. I only get 8 hours of sleep. My symptoms are vomiting when I first wake up and vomiting the entire day. Nausea comes and goes, small headaches, sweating when Im about to throw up, weak, head rush every time I get up(I get up slow because I’m weak from being sick), no diarrhea at all(thinking I have the stomach flew you’d get at least some diarrhea lol), and not being able to keep any kind of food in my stomach until the day is over. The next day I felt normal, not even weak. And for a long long time I feel a little nauseous everyday. What is wrong with me?????

Answer by thepeng
I get like that if I don’t have a regulated healthy diet.

Answer by Al Scusi
There could be a lot of reasons. Why are you adopting that sleep pattern?

Could it be that you are anxious about something?

Drink plenty of water or none processed none-sugary drinks eat nutritious meals at regular times [at least three] try to sleep to a fixed pattern and avoid alcohol and mind altering substances.
Naps should always be between 20 and 40 minutes no more or they impact on proper sleep

Do these problems occur at a regular interval?

Answer by spiralof5
8 hours of sleep is actually normal. Recomended is 8-9, although some people believe that 6 is the absolute best because of the way our brains cycle in REM phase.

I would seriously check into this:

Nausea and vomiting can be one of the first signs of pregnancy and usually begins around the 6th week of pregnancy. It can occur at any time of the day, and for most women it seems to stop around the 12th week of pregnancy.

Morning sickness is not harmful to you or your baby, but if you experience excessive vomiting and cannot keep your food down, you may have hyperemesis gravidarum. Hyperemesis gravidarum can be harmful to you and your baby if severe and left untreated, due to the possible lack of nutrients and electrolyte imbalance. The most important thing is to inform your health care provider when these symptoms appear and discuss possible options for treatment.
Morning Sickness:

More than half of all pregnant women experience morning sickness. Morning sickness is the nauseated feeling you get during pregnancy. Morning sickness can be, but is not always, accompanied with vomiting. The nausea is often a result of the increased hormones in your body. Many health care providers think morning sickness is a good sign because it means the placenta is developing well.

There are a number of do’s and don’ts you can try to help alleviate your symptoms.

You should go to the doctor and speak with him. There is a cause for concern.

Had fever and diarrhea 2 days ago, why am I still feeling very bloated, nauseated and can’t eat?

Had fever and diarrhea 2 days ago, why am I still feeling very bloated, nauseated and can’t eat?
I was sick two days ago with a fever of over 100F and had diarrhea (no puking but I deffinitely felt like it). My fever is gone and I no longer have diarrhea (I appear to be regular now – not “backed up”) but the cramps, bloatedness and nausea that came with it still haven’t gone away.

I haven’t felt hungry since I was sick and when I do force myself to eat (I can only handle a banana or apple sauce or a piece of bread) I get major cramps which do go away but I’m left feeling completely full. If I try to eat more than a small portion of something, I feel very nauseated.

Does anyone know why I’m still so bloated? Is it from not eating enough?

Answer by ajt575s
I suspect it’s from not drinking enough. Your body is probably retaining water because you’ve lost so much fluid over the past few days, and I suspect, if you’re too sick to eat, then you may not be drinking enough fluids to replace what you lost. So, it is possible that your body is clinging to every bit of fluid it has. Try drinking lots of water/juice and maybe eating some chicken noodle soup (not too salty) and see if that helps.

That’s just my guess. If that doesn’t help, go see a doctor about it.

Answer by adam/penny
eat light, like chicken broth and crackers to help settle your stomach, that will also help you get more fluids. drink plenty of water and juices like apple and orange. you’ve got a virus of some kind and it’s just going to take time and you understanding there’s not much else you can do till it takes it’s own course.
good luck to ya. banana sounds a little heavy to me.

Stopped birth control now Im feeling sick and depressed what do I do?
I stopped taking my birth control after a week of taking it this month because I realized it had expired over 6 months ago. All month (including the first week of pills) I have felt like crap… very very tired (sleeping for 10-12 hours at a time) and still feeling exhausted, constant migraine for over 2 weeks straight now its finally subsiding, vomited once and diarrhea once. I am in college and missing my morning classes because I am soo exhausted. I feel horrible about this and don’t know what to do. I set up an appointment with my DR who is also OBGYN for this coming monday to try and figure this out. I have missed 10 days of class throughout the month, do you think she could write a letter/note to my professors? I really want to go to class but when I wake up lately I’ve been exhausted and have a migraine or nausea or diarrhea so its almost impossible to make it to class.. I just want to feel like myself again. How should I deal with this situation? Can my doctor do anything to help me (prescription, new bc pills, note to professors)?
Could I be pregnant?

Answer by sokokl
Yes, your doctor can write a letter to the professors and the school itself to let it be known what’s going on.

She can also check to see if a hormone imbalance such as with the thyroid (an example only) might be going on. Sometimes a hormone imbalance such as with the thyroid can cause symptoms like fatigue and depression.

Am I pregnant or just feeling sick from work? ?
I work with children and some of them got a bacteria in there intestines that causes diarrhea and abdominal pain. I was having other symptoms too such as nausea, stomach pain and headaches. So I figured that’s what I had. I recently got over it and was eating “normal” food again. When all day yesterday I was slightly nauseous until that evening I was having Severe nausea to the point I wanted to throw up. I was also having real bad stomach pain and cramps in my lower back. I take Birth Control (loestrin fe) and I have been taking it late due to my job and scheduling. I was wondering seeing how today is Saturday and not a Weekday if I should go to the hospital to get seen. It’s gotten so bad that I’m losing sleep I’ve been up and down since 3 am this morning. My period is due according to the pack on Wed but sometimes comes later in the week.

Answer by Sharon B
I think that you should call that National Health helpline thingy. Spend the day resting with a hot water bottle on your tummy and eat light foods like toast.

Answer by bluedreams1810
It sounds like you are sick. I would definitely get an appointment. Sounds like you have some sort of stomach flu. I hope you feel better soon.

Answer by matregrant
to me that SOUNDS like the symptoms of N1H1…(swine flu)

But I’m not a doctor don’t trust me. If it is that then don’t freak out..it’s just normal flu.

As to how u got it (if it’s not flu) , if u didn’t have personal contact with the roaches then that’s not it. Maybe its food poisoning from the mexican restaurant? I’ve also gotten bad burgers before too so it could that.

Go to the doctor. They will tell! :)

Answer by ellessee
Dear Alexandra, you do not have an H1N1. You have a food-poisoning.
One – or more – of the things that you ate have made you ill and nauseous. The sufferings that you have stated in your question have no link to the dreadful H1N1.
But please don’t suffer more, or feel ” relieved.” You may have a
gastroenteritis. This is a very-nasty ailment, and can make you very-
miserable. Please go quickly to your trusted doctor ; don’t forget to tell him about all that you ate. Please be fast, if you love yourself and your stomach.
Best-of-relief-to-you !

I am feeling sick to my stomach (no, not diarrhea or anything like that) but it’s really bad nausea and I feel like I could throw up any second. Could it be something I ate? I had a small breakfast, Wendy’s for lunch, and then a few chips for a snack a few hours ago. Please help me!

Nausea, Feeling hot, Tired, Weak…What’s wrong with me?!?
I started feeling weird at work monday, so I decided to go home and rest. All of a sudden, I got diarrhea, I was vomiting, and I was very tired and weak. I missed 2 days of work, and just yesterday I felt 100% better. This morning I woke up with the same symptoms once again, that I was experiencing monday. I don’t know if this has anything to do with it, but I just finished taking the antibiotic “Flagyl” saturday night. I’m not sure if it is still in my body or not, but I feel crappy. Any ideas?
